A&M-Victoria Athletic Communications takes home more national awards
For a third consecutive year, the Texas A&M University-Victoria Athletic Communications department has been recognized as one of the best in the nation.
On Monday, A&M-Victoria took home six awards in the NAIA-Sports Information Directors Association (NAIA-SIDA) Publications and Media Contest, including a category win.
A&M-Victoria's awards range from writing, to graphics, to videos. It's the most awards A&M-Victoria Athletic Communications has taken home in the last three years. The works are the products of student workers Jarod Tipton, Lily Standridge, Serenity Petaia and Oliva Rodriguez, videographer Mark Guerrero, and Assistant Athletic Director-Communications Sam Fowler.
"Winning six national awards is an incredible honor for our Athletic Communications team, and it truly reflects the collective effort behind the scenes," Fowler said. "I'm especially grateful to our outstanding student workers—Jarod Tipton, Lily Standridge, Oliva Rodriguez, and Serenity Petaia—who have poured so much time, creativity, and passion into building our athletic communications department. Their work has elevated everything we do. I also want to thank Mark Guerrero for his contributions as a videographer—his eye for storytelling has made a tremendous impact. Most importantly, we're deeply appreciative of our coaches and the entire athletic department for trusting us to tell their stories and represent their programs. This recognition belongs to all of them as much as it does to us."
