Puhl picks up career win 100 at UHV
Kent opened the game with a solo shot to right and added a second to leadoff the second inning.
Following Kent's first shot, Ryan Gilbert walked and Longoria parked the first pitch he saw to left-center for a 3-0 lead. The Jaguars would add another run on an RBI single by Ryan Suescun.
The Bruins (0-5) broke into the Jaguars' lead on a two-run home run by Sean Mattson in the third.
After sending nine batters to the plate in the first, the Jaguars (4-8) turned the trick again in the sixth to blow open the contest.
Gilbert opened the inning with an infield single, stole second and scored on a double to left by Longoria. Tyler Steiner walked and David Baker singled home Longoria for a 7-2 lead. Jerrod Dugas and Suescun would finish off the scoring with RBI singles.
The Bruins would answer with a two-run triple by Bradley Reeves off winning pitcher John Touchton (3-1). Casey Newman would come on in the seventh for Touchton to retire all three batters he faced to finish off the win.
