Women’s Golf finishes first day of Texas Wesleyan Texas Intercollegiate

WESTWORTH VILLAGE – The UHV Women's Golf team wrapped of the first day of the Texas Wesleyan Texas Intercollegiate on Monday at Hawks Creek Golf Club.

Freshman Madeline Pate started the day off hot, shooting a 74 in the opening round. She closed the day T-17 after rounds of 74-82—156. She had four birdies through the first two rounds, including three in Round 1.

Emmily Bickelmann (84-84—168) and Kaitlin Lopez (82-87—169) sit 30th and T-31, respectively after the first two rounds. Each had three birdies in the first 36 holes of the season.

Remme Trujillo (89-87—176) sits T-36 while Evelyn Nguyen (96-82—178) sits 38th.

The Jaguars closed the first day in sixth place after rounds of 329-335—664.

The tournament concludes on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
