SHREVEPORT, La. – The Texas A&M University-Victoria women's soccer team suffered just its second loss of the year on Thursday.
The Jaguars fell, 3-0, to LSU Shreveport in the team's Red River Athletic Conference opener on Thursday at The Swamp in Shreveport. The loss snapped a five-match unbeaten run for A&M-Victoria.
A&M-Victoria falls to 3-2-2 on the year and 0-1 in RRAC play.
Junior goalkeeper Jamie Noriega made a season-high 10 saves, becoming the first Jaguar goalkeeper to make 10 saves since Jolanda Bolt in 2022.
Ayloni Garcia and Jessica Salkeld led the Jaguars with three shots each. Garcia and Serenity Petaia shared the team lead with two shots on goal apiece.
The Jaguars head to Louisiana Christian Saturday to continue conference play.
