Everyone got involved for the Texas A&M University-Victoria women's soccer team on Thursday.
The Jaguars posted a season-high offensive production of 43 shots in a 9-0 rout of Texas College in Red River Athletic Conference play. The nine goals are tied for second-most in school history for A&M-Victoria (6-2-3, 3-1-1). Seven different players found the back of the net, including four players finding the net for the first time this season.
"I was excited to see different players get on the scoresheet," said head coach Kimberly Uetrecht. "It was a great team win."
Siobhan Scott and Ayloni Garcia led the way with two goals each.
Scott picked up her first goal of the season in fifth minute before adding a second in the sixth minute thanks to an assist from Kaitlyn McCarty.
Cheyenne Grant headed home a Rosa Reyes corner kick in the 23rd minute for her first career goal. Jessica Salkeld made it 4-0 in the 38th minute on a pass from Briana Ortega. Yesenia Vega made it 5-0 in the 42nd minute with her first goal of the season.
Garcia kept her record pace going in the 51st and 52nd minutes to bring her season total for goals up to 11 with six matches left. She got an assist by Ashley Serrano on the first goal.
Vanessa Bevalian found the back of the net for the fifth time this season in the 59th minute with Serenity Petaia giving the assist.
Then Serrano, a freshman, scored a rocket into the top of the net in the 74th minute to cap A&M-Victoria's scoring.
Garcia led the way with eight shots. She was one of nine players with multiple shots for the Jaguars.
Thursday also saw the debuts of Mackenzie Carmickle, Evelyn Tovar and Reagan Allen.
A&M-Victoria returns to action on Saturday at The Cage when the Jaguars host University of the Southwest.
